The Challenge
The existing tiled patio deck had experienced deterioration that resulted in water infiltration into the outdoor spa area located directly beneath the plaza deck. The previous waterproofing assembly was no longer providing adequate protection, creating concerns for both the structure and facility operations.
Because the patio functions as both an outdoor entertainment area and a roof system, the replacement required a specialized waterproofing approach capable of withstanding:
